Just found this machine at Goodwilll with its case and accessories [$19.99!!] but no cord/foot pedal or manual...dang it....so I do not even know if it works. It is also missing its lid with the stitches showing on it. I have no idea how many stitches it is supposed to have or which buttons to push to make them! LOL Not going to buy a manual till I find out if it works. Does anyone know anything about this machine? Good one? Bad one?? Worth it to fix it up? I don't care about the lid [good thing- I doubt I could find a lid] if I can find a photo or something with those stitches listed. I cannot find any info online through Google so hoping one of you has experience. |

Great Find !!! I have a 6122. The 6120 must be pretty similar. I'm sure it is an excellent mechanical machine. Aren't the stithces shown on the buttons? Someone on this website paid $425 for a 6120 two years ago. http://sewing.patternreview.com/SewingMachine/Review/1/1753 ---------------------------------------- Pam ---------------------------------------- [Edit 1 times, last edit by californiaquilter at Mar 3, 2009 1:03:46 AM] |

Thanks! I did take a look at that review. I was hoping it was a good find. :) It shows 21 stitches on the buttons. Not sure if that includes everything. However I thought you had to push two at the same time to get the second stitch that shows on the button?? That is where I am in trouble - not sure which two to push. Long ago I had a 1540 and it was that way but I traded it for my 7570 and forget what I had to do. Besides the missing lid and leads it is a nice clean machine. I suspect it works fine. The accessories look to have been unused. The needle pack is unopened. Fingers crossed I am right about it working fine!! ---------------------------------------- [Edit 1 times, last edit by Aurora at Mar 3, 2009 2:53:52 AM] |

I would certainly take it to a dealer and have it checked out. I'm sure any Pfaff service center would have a foot pedal they can use to see if the machine is in working order before you order a new pedal. I think you are right about some of the stitches require two butons to be pushed. If the machine works, I'm sure it is worth buying a manual and a foot pedal. ---------------------------------------- Pam |

Any sewing machine dealer can test a machine to see if it works if there is not a Pfaff dealer near you.. They should be able to wire it up and check that it runs. Be sure and get a quote for a price as all dealers want to service machines. If it runs, your Pfaff should be serviced before you use it very much . Good Luck! |
